Citalopram Diarrhoea

Hi, I have been on Citalopram for about 5 weeks now and whilst most of my side effects have left me: (loss of appetite, nausea, anxiety ect.)

My diarrhoea is really starting to worry me because it has been in a liquid or near liquid state for a good few weeks now. Should I make an emergency appointment at the doctors or is this something not to worry about? My stomach has been grumbling all night and its currently 4:46am and I cant sleep because im on and off the toilet.

Is there anything in the meantime that can stop the diarrhoea being as bad because it literally hurts going to the toilet now.

Common side effects may include:

drowsiness, tired feeling;

sleep problems (insomnia);

mild nausea, diarrhea, upset stomach, dry mouth;

cold symptoms such as stuffy nose, sneezing, sore throat, cough;

increased sweating or urination, weight changes; or.

decreased sex drive, impotence, or difficulty having an orgasm.

Defo see your Dr.  Could be a side effect but anxiety also can cause an upset stomach. Its your body trying to prepare itself for fight or flight mode. Also I know that as I ate almost nothing for the first few weeks on CIT, that did not help. Good luck
