Citalopram had a year good on 20 mg , upped to 30 mg 11 week ago

basically looking for some re-assurance , about 15 month ago got put on citalopram as was going through lots of blood tests and scared myself to death with worry, was doing really well but have had a bad time since christmas with anxiety, so the dr put me up to 30 mg , started to feel a little bit better but the anxiety as been bad last couple of days should this be happening still after 11 weeks on upped dose or should i be fine by now ? thanks

didnt the doctor inform you that when you up the dose is like starting again?

thanks for the reply , the dr said i should feel the benefits after 4 weeks with the upped dose , but when i first started on the medication can remember it took months for me to feel good again

theres your answer.is going to take months again.in my experience it took me 8months.

Was that from when you upped the dose? when i think im starting to feel a bit better boom anxiety comes back

yes you start the process all over again when you up your dose .and yes those ups and downs are common

Hi Andrew,Every time you change your dosage it can be like as if you had started to use it the first time ,meaning it can take 12/15 weeks .So just give it time and you will feel different soon
