Hello, i am still deciding whether to start on Citalopram, dont fancy some of the side affects to be honest as i have enough of them with the Anxiety symptoms. One of my main symptoms is the unbalanced sensation and general dizziness, i read that Citalopram can cause dizziness but my question was around anyone who had Anxiety and the unbalanced sensation taking Citalopram and this clearing up as i'm reliably informed it is a sensation caused by over sensitised nervous system which Citalopram can help to calm as i understand it ? Thanks for any help.

I too was very apprehensive. I even filled the prescription and looked at for 5 weeks before starting. I had extreme anxiety and horrific panic attacks. I started February 24 on 10 mg. The side effects were a little intense but I had the help of the people on this forum to get me through them. Now I’m still on 10 mg and I wish I had started this earlier in my life. I’m so focused on work and every day things it just comes naturally like it used to be. I look back to help people. Start a journal so you can see your progression. Many people don’t even have sude effects or they do not get them intensely. Cut out caffeine and sugar and it will help a lot.

you must remember that there are side effects with all medication that you take .Citrolopram is one that does not have severe side effects ;where as other anti depressants have more side effects than Citrolopram.You will have too weigh the pros and cons for taken this medication.
