Hi all, Wondering if anyone had success in switching from Citalopram over to Escitalopram. I had been taking 40mg of Citalopram for probably 10 years, but it just seemed to abruptly stop working. The last month I have had several panic attacks, with my usual agoraphobia. Lovely, right? Well, I started up with therapy again and started on the Escitalopram this week. I do notice small positive differences already, but naturally still having intense anxiety and panic. I think I just need some reassurance that after a while, the medication will start working for me, and I will be able to feel at ease again. Really grateful for our little community here!
hi Ashley sorry you are having a rough time. i was the same i was on citalopram for about 10 years and it stopped working for me too!! my dr put me on sertraline and i took but didnt like the side effects so stopped. i really want to start again but i hate the anxiety/panic increases. i know it settles down after a few weeks though x
Hi, Gills! its such a tedious process, isn’t it? And how about how a lot of the SSRI medications side effects IS anxiety…like we need anymore!
I am rooting for you. Always available if you need some help working through anxiety or panic. I’m 34 and feel like all I’ve known most my life is anxiety.

Don’t know about you but morning are the worst for me. I wake up feeling sick and so down in the dumps…as the day progresses i guess i feel a but better but I am really considering going back on my tablets n=and will just have to preserve with the side effects. I keep crying bacause I am so scared I am dying, I know that sounds so silly
Do you have sickness/loss of appetite when your anxiety is bad??
I ma 43 btw and like you if I’m honesty didn’t suffer with health anxiety
