So been on citalopram for 6 week4 week 10mg and 2 week on 20 mg started having palpertaions and i thuding i have a heart condition so it concerd me having been to gp and my support nurse they say citalopram can corse these palpertations and thuding so changed me to sertraline 50mg??? I wasnt keen as i dont want to go through all the sude effects again!!! But go told me i shouldnt as its like a sister drug to citalopram?? Any help or anybody on this tablet?? Need to here some positives xx
If you have a heart condition I would have thought that Lithium would suit you better as it is easier on the blood system. Look it up on Wikepedia if you have a computer. They actually use it in batteries now!
Hi I swapped after 12 weeks from citalopram to sertraline and there were no transitional problems at all ! I was very anxious about swapping and side effects etc but it was really ok ! Try to be positive x

Also yvonne if you dont mind me asking what mg citalopram was u on?? And what did they put you on the sertraline xx
I was on 30 mg of citalopram and they put me on 100 mg of sertraline and yes I do try to take with food ( not always ) x
