im new to this site, ii think im just after some reassurance that im on the right path and the medication is working, and im
not the only one feeling like this.
ive been on citalopram 20mg since mid June so 10/11 weeks now. i have suffered with anxiety to various degrees for a number of years. i was under a large amount of stress work/ covid/ family related which was added to by my mother and uncle recently passing. After speaking to my doctor i started on citalopram to ease my anxiety as i wasnt managing.
i suffered every side effect going when i first started taking them, dizzy, sweating, upset stomach etc.
i can tell that my mood has lifted but im still suffering with headache/ sinus headache/ sweats. My anxiety is still there, some days its really bad, coming in waves, other days its bad in the day and i seem to have a couple of hours of relief towards the evening.
im trying to socialise with close friends and family, i have great support from my husband. i am going for walks, going the gym when i can, even when i really dont feel like it, , reading etc. i am still working from home due to covid.
im just wondering
are the symptoms normal for how long i have been taken the medication?
Any idea when they will start to ease?
The anxiety some days is really bad, like in the early days of taking this medication, will this start to improve soon?
any advice will be much appreciated, thank you
