Been on 10mg citalopram for 4 weeks now they have help me but recently I have not been feeling good but bit nervous about upping the dose
Four weeks is a long enough to know if the dose if high enough. Most people get releif between 20MG and 40MG. I went from 20 to 30 and noticed a big difference so I'm giving that dose another two weeks and see how i go . I would ask to go to 20MG at this stage if I were you. You may have some side affects for a couple of days but they will pass.
Hi All, my father who is 83yrs old on 10mg citalopram for a week, has had a side effect ,is this common, felt dizzy for a few seconds,felt hot behind the ears, unwell, went too door for air, then had too be sick, but it was a bile he brought up then felt ok, anybody else had this problem, it has happened only one so far, he is not eating at lunch times but has breakfast and evening meal, only drinking mainly water, had cranberry juice and blueberry juice also, when is the best time too take the tablets, any info would be grateful for!!!!

You have nothing to worry about all this is just side affects from the tablets the normally last a couple of weeks he will be fine, best taken a hour before bed, hope he gets well soon.
