Hi all. I'm currently on 20mg of citalopram for 5 weeks for anxiety which has helped but having to take diazepam with it. I know this can't be A long term thing so I'm thinking of asking my gp to increase the citalopram to 30mg. I was wondering if anyone had bad side effects from this increase?? I was started straight on 20 and although 5he side effects were not great it was the increase in anxiety I found unbearable. I was on 40mg of cit a few years ago and that worked so well for me.
Hi, i havent upped my dose to 30mg but when i upped from 10mg to 20mg i didnt have any more side effects. It was a smooth transition, not sure if it will make a difference because of the higher dose but i wouldnt think so
