Hi there 😊I have been given citalopram for anxiety and started takin then yesterday and got numbness on right hand side arm and leg. I feel awful and anxiety has got a million times worse. Any help please? 😊
Hi Jojo it will get better but needs some time you will feel much better in 4 weeks time just take your meds don't stop and try to keep yourself busy or distract and drink loads of water and camomile tea.
As with all AD's it takes up to 6 weeks to settle in and yours symptoms will get worse before they get better.
Everyone reacts differently to medication what works for one may not work for another
Stay Strong
hi for 3 months iv had tingling feet, numb tingly left hand and constant numb face,it freaks me out but some lovely people of here have helped me out with good advice
Thanks everyone. It's the numbness on one side freaking me out more than anything as it health anxiety and right away i think brain tumour! I feel so anxious and worried and it's totally ruining my life with my daughter now. Appreciate all the replys. 😊😊
Dont let it take over your life consider therapy it teaches you coping strategies for anxiety/panic
I hope it will get better as your brain adjusts to the citalopram. If you can't cope ask your doctor for something to get you through the next few days. Only a small dose will give you some relieve. I'm not saying you should but it is an idea.
take care

I have been referred to them, just waiting to hear i I'm accepted! I hope so. Always just think in dying and my daughter gni be left alone. Right now all my symptoms are for a brain tumour but doc days anxiety 😊
Thanks for your reply. I might call the doc. I feel so anxious and even more convinced I have a brain tumour than I was before taking these xx
I know how you I kept thinking I was having a heart attack or stroke went to emergency a couple of time my problem was Ive had depression for 17 years the anxiety only started in December would not beieve anyone who told me it was in my head I had lots of test done and they came back clear.
So now after a medication change and CBT I am seeing light at the end of the tunnel
Good Luck you are not alone
Thank u. And I'm glad ur in the mend! I have always been a worrier but only been the past month it gotten so out of control over health and now I'm convinced it's a brain tumour and people aren't taking me seriously. I'm hoping it is in my head and these pills help eventually, they making me feel worse just now but I'm hoping that passes. Thanks again 😊😊
