Citrolpram

hi all

i know I'm beginning to sound like a broken record but this is my 8th week on taking cit 6 wks was at 10mg , 2 wks was on 20mgs. When I first started on this horrible journey. Most people was saying it takes about 6 to 8 weeks for the med to start to work. I can count on one hand the good days I have had and I thought I was improving slightly from where I was at the beginning, but this morning has been horrible anxious, diarrhoea crying and feeling so so flat no motivation struggling to get out of bed it's like I'm right back at the beginning. I'm now thinking should I have just stayed on 10mgs for a while longer and I'm I feeling like this because of the increase in dose which the doctor advised. Can any of you kind people give me some encouragement.

Hi Jean, your having a side effect to the meds. I suggest you seek advice from your gp. Hope this helps.

Hi, the thing with a lot of meds is it's trial and error. This drug might not be the one for you. I know it can be disheartening feeling like you took one step forward only to take two back. The plus side is there are other drugs, if this one isn't helping you move forward and you don't like the side effects just speak to your gp. Hope this helps x

Hi Jean

Are you feeling any better?

Hi lynda

Not really but thanks for your concern. It's a dam nuisance this depression. I wouldn't want to wish this on my worst enemy.

I agree.  I haven't had a good day since April 11th when I started sertraline.  Going to the drs to see what she suggests,  I have now heard three months to be effective.  Yuck
