What the most common tests for CKD diagnosis? What is the ideal frequency to take the various tests after you are diagnosed with CKD?
vin, it depends on what stage of CKD you are at. If it is within CKD3, particularly at the higher eGFR levels and is stable, it is unlikely you will be referred to a consultant. However, your surgery should monitor your creatinine/urea/eGFR levels from time to time and, again, how frequently will depend on the reading and the stability.
You will find your blood pressure and egfr tested regularly when you see your nephrologist. Before I started haemo dialysis I seen my consultant every 3 months. Hope this helps
