Clear fluid from wound

Hi I'm 4 weeks post RTHR. Wound initially no problems. General aches with leg so was rubbing gently when felt some dampness on hand. Getting crink in neck taking a photo there is clear fluid coming from the bottom of the wound! Not raging red, uncovered. Advice please? Worried 😩

If it is leaking a lot put a dressing on it and ring d/n also keep checking on it if it does go red u will need to get it checked by your gp

See your doctor, needs to be checked and it will put your mind at rest 🙏🏻👍🏽

Could you ring the ward were you had it done, there advice would be the best you could get, this like Bobbie said will ease your concerns, get hubby to take photo, you don't want to fall over

You need to call dr. Your wound should be well healed and not draining at 4wks post op. I've had three hip surgeries in the past 3 yrs. and with the last one developed cellulitis and had to have antibiotic which got it under control quickly. Good luck to you.

I agree with previous posts to have it checked, just to make sure -

with 2nd THR the little puncture staple holes were not all closed down at the scar - do you think you might have rubbed off a scab ?

Hi I've spoken to a nurse. It's clear fluid which is good!!! Watch and wait. Taken a photo and getting husband to mark around it to see if gets any more reddening. Not walked or stood too long today. Thanks x X
