I was diagnosed last year and was given antibiotics to clear my rosacea. I took these for about a month and yes they worked but after sometime they gave me thrush and tummy ache. So i stopped taking them. My life became a constant misery trying to control this condition and i became quite desperate in finding a 'cure'. Having read up on the net off several sites i took advice from some people who have tackled this condition with alternative medicines. Everyday i take 2 Apple Cider Vinegar tablets and 1 B Complex. I take the ACV tablets as i found it difficult to stomach the diluted liquid form without wanting to vomit.
In a morning i wash my face with natural sulphur soap and then rinse but i leave my face wet. I then apply a small amount of neat anti dandruff shampoo to the affected skin. This i leave on for a couple of minutes and then rinse off. The shampoo i use begins with an 'O' and has a chemical in called ciclopirox olamine. This is said to kill off the mites that can cause this condition. I then swab the affected area while damp with a diluted tablespoon of apple cider vinegar. Allow this to dry on your face and then moisturise using a frangrance and chemical free cream to the skin. Following this procedure cleared my condition. This took about 5 days but the difference in my skin was unbelievable. My face had gone from looking like i had a face full of measles, red raw and itchy with extremely dry skin in places to faint pink, no spots or bumps and soft skin. I cannot fault what the above has done for me and if it keeps it under control and leaves my skin feeling as soft as this then i dont see why medicines are required at all. If anyone else tries the above and has sucess then please let me know as it works for me.
I also read that Lysine can help rosacea sufferers. I tried this in tablet form but it caused my face to swell, so that wasnt something i could continue with.
