Codeine Addiction

I have battled with codeine for many years. 5 years ago I got help and was on a methadone programme because I couldn’t handle the withdrawals. I managed eventually to come off everything. 3 years later someone offered me a 30/500 co codamol for back pain, I should have refused but I didn’t and now on more than ever. I take 10/12 tablets at a time 3 times a day. I’m too ashamed to go back to my GP, but also, I don’t want to stop, I enjoy the relaxing effects but I know it’s out of control…x
