Cognitive Behavioral Therapy - Book reviews - books to read while you are waiting

If you are on a waiting list for Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and you are frustrated and want to get some help sooner. Here are 3 books that I really enjoyed, they helped me a lot. They will give you loads of tips and tricks to help you while you are waiting to see a therapist. Or even if you are not waiting to see a therapist There are also other books for CBT, I have seen a few at my local library. You could also check your local library for CBT books, I'm sure they will have something xxx

Anyway here are 3 to look out for

1) Retrain Your Brain: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in 7 Weeks - by Seth J. Gillihan PhD and Timothy Andres Pabon

2) Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: by Carol Franklin

3) Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT):by Elaine Iljon Foreman and Clair Pollard

Thanks so much for this post. I'm gonna look into these.

You are more than welcome, also I just found out you can get some of them second hand on amazon or ebay xx

Great! I am gonna look into getting one also. Which one would you say is the best one?

Yeah I think that would be a great idea Melissa They really really help a lot. I think they were all good but maybe this one was the best: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: by Carol Franklin

Awesome! Thank you!!!!

You're more than welcome Melissa I hope you feel better soon and please keep us updated with the Citalopram xx

I will jj! I think it will be helpful for someone else to get a play by play of the daily also with citalopram. Incase their are others starting on the medicine. They will be able to follow the progress to hopefully help them get through! I think it's great they have these forums for us.
