Sorry guys here I go again. 3 weeks today post op and I have permanent cold feet. Anyone else have same problem?
Yes - well mine aren't permanently cold but are at night - have to have a hot water bottle
Yes I had cold feet too. I put it down to having to sleep on my back. Had to wear cosy socks and have the occasional hot water bottle. Once I was able to turn onto my side, the cold feet went. I am 9 weeks post op and still get cold feet but only if I lay on my back. At least you know you are not alone. 😊
Hi Crossy
I had shocking cold feet, I'm slightly cold footed at the best of times but thank god for an amazing thick pair of muji socks I got for Xmas. I had my op in January so the weather was none too friendly post op. But even huddled inside with heating up high I still needed those socks.
Your days of cold feet will pass, meanwhile on with the totes toasties!
Yes...at night I get cold feet and I feel generally cold. I have a hot water bottle but I keep it far away from the cut...I think it's because we had a major operation and we have lost blood. It's getting a bit better lately...I am in my third week after op.
I am 9 weeks post op and yes cold feet here too. I have found thin thermal slipper socks very helpful and also an extra blanket. Even in the warm weather I am getting times when my whole body feels cold.
yes .... wearing thick socks as we speak - also during the day .. maybe it is the weather but I also feel cold in general - maybe our circulation is still a bit off ....
I wish I was able to hold them and warm them with my hands ...
Hi Crossie, Yes it seems to happen, I have had it in hospital, and had to get the nurses to cover up the part of the foot that was cold,I mean freezing cold....
But getting better now.
I am 4 weeks past the oiperation, and getting better quickly, as I was a strong man before this struck me down, I will never do a Karate Kate again, though I realy want to...I also want to swim breast stroke....for the all over effect that it has,,,Not yet of course...
Kind regards Ian.
I feel cold all over - 4th week post-op. Was wondering if it had anything to do with the bloodthinning injections? I finish these tomorrow, so maybe things will change then! Hope so. In the meantime I shall turn the heating up! It's JUNE for heaven's sake!
Hi Anna .... I don't want to be negative (!!) however, now at 13 weeks post op and finished bloodthinning injections 6 weeks ago, I am still feeling cold at times ... especially my feet .... so warm socks and when on the couch, a blanket .... warm hug
Hi Renee,
Well at least I'm ready for it but by then surely we'll be having a heatwve and we can all feel WARM again! My poor partner sits here sweating as I shiver! Warm hugs all round then?!
Anna x
