Having colonoscopy tomorrow with sedation really scared help. Any one give me any advice.
I was terrified when I had mine. I had a huge anxiety attack. It was all for nothing. I went to sleep and then woke up like nothing happened. The Dr didn't find anything wrong with me either. I was so mad at myself for getting so worked up over nothing.
Hi Christine!
Relax! I have had two. No big deal, really! You will probably be given medication prior to the procedure which relaxes you and it is OVER before you know it! I had no pain. Could have driven myself home, but they required a driver for all patients. No side effects at all.
You can DO THIS!
Relax!♥️
I've had it 4 years ago with gas and air but was painfull so hopefully sedation will help .thank you .
Did you just have sedation or was you anesthetized .
Hi, don't worry, I had a colonoscopy bout 3 or 4 years didn't feel very much at all with sedation, I have a redundant colon so they spent about an hour pushing and shoving with me in every position possible trying to do it, but could only do one half, so I had to have a barium enema a few weeks later to do the other half, a redundant colon means the colon is longer than normal with twists and turns, you will be ok, I was ok with that going on.
Sure thing!♥️
TRY to relax and think of the procedure as something that will help you know more about your body's health. Breathe and think positive thoughts. It really helps a lot!
Let us know how things go for you, OK?
Sending prayers of CALM and PEACE and COMFORT to you!🤗
Try not to worry, I had one a few days ago and know how anxious you must feel. It’s not as bad as it sounds and if you have sedation like I did it helps.
Thanks ill try not to at min I'm struggling with klean-prep .
Will let you know tomorrow evening.
Thank you .
Thank you .
Christine nothing to be worry about. I had my colonoscopy done yesterday. I was freaking out, but when I woke up I was like was that it? Good luck. Trust me you will be glad that you did it. They removed a tissue from my colon and sent it to a lab...
I had some kind of sedation. I asked for something specific that I had before for dental surgery. It's harder to come out of I guess, but I knew I could handle it and it didn't cause me any side effects.
Had colonoscopy done this afternoon had sedation and gas and air.
Not bad at all .unlike last time was painfull .
Had it done you was right sedation and gas and air helped a lot.
Hi, good to hear not that bad, the sedation seems to work well in that situation.
