My name is Alanah, I am looking for some advice on the medication Citalopram.
I've been taking Citalopram 30mg for about a year. The last couple of months I have slowly decreased my medication myself by taking 20mg for a couple weeks, and then proceeding to 10mg for another few weeks. It has now been 4 days of taking absolutely no medication. I realise i probably should have spent more time decreasing my medication by taking 10mg every other day, and then every other week but to be honest, i was impatient and striving to be 'normal' again.
The problem is, since yesterday i have been experience frequent palpitations with little movement, constantly feeling like i'm going to faint and just general light headed symptoms.
Has anyone experienced this too? Is there anyone with experience of coming off citalopram that can tell me how long these symptoms will last?
