i am not sure how much or how long you were taking it but i was taking omeprazole 40mg daily for about 10 years, which i should have not been. long story short when coming off PPIs you have to taper yourself down pretty slowly or you will get back side effects and rebound issues. i tried to quit cold turkey and it was horrible. it has been about 1-2 years of tapering omeprazole and things are great. i am down to 10mg if needed but have not experienced any of the heart racing or anxiousness. hope this helps!
