I have just tapered of Trazodone this week.
Was taking it about the same as you maybe 3 weeks and had a few down days but nothing major.
Halfed my dose for a couple of days 150 to 75 then Halfed again to 1/4 tab for another couple of days.
Traz caused me some major trembling, tearfulness and panic attacks.
Been put on Paroxetine to try next.
I think you will be fine.

I was prescribed that Years ago for insomnia…hated the way it made me feel (restless legs and shakey) and it didn’t even help with insomnia!!
don’t remember it being difficult to stop as I only took it for a short while, but I’d never take it again!
thank you for reassurance. i am now onto my fourth day off this awful med after halving for a few days . it has been a roller coaster, anxiety very high, depression, crying spells, general fatigue etc. all worse than before i started it. trying to work my way through it. Wish i had never taken it. now got crackly chest and cough so assume this will just go given time.dr has not prescribed anything else
yes i feel the same. it was for anxiety and insomnia. did you take it for a long time? I had it for about five weeks and it has given me a few problems trying to reduce and get off, the original symptoms all seemed to be worse on it. i now have a sore throat and tight chest which wasnt there before. did you have no discontinuation symptoms at all? I too would never take it again and await feeling better. it seems to be a nasty med.
hi ann…maybe i wes lucky, I’m not sure…but no, I had no problems in stopping taking trazadone! of course remember, I only took it for a short time, maybe a wk or so!
it definitely wasn’t an anxiety reliever!
