Interesting development! I am about 11 weeks post op TRHR. All is going well. Hip is healing and lower back issues are getting better. However, I have all of a sudden been diagnosed with eczema! I have a few patches on arms and neck, but most is on my face around my eyes! Red and puffy eyes! Exzema seems to be "linked to an overactive response by the body's immune system to an irritant". Is the new hip the "irritant"? Has anyone else experienced a new rash or something else attacking while your immune system might be compromised while healing?

Sorry you are having problems with rash. I am 7 wks po for left THR. I had a rash with terrible itching turned out I am allergic to morphine. Since I found this site, I read the discussions when I can't sleep like now. It has been very helpful.

I develeoped eczma on my ankles while I had an infected hip. It seems to have improved as the infection was cured. I don't know if the two are linked.
