About a two years ago i was diagnosed with mobile gallstones since then i have had a few attacks, some ending up in A and E only to be told I have a urine infection and being sent home with antibiotics and painkillers. For the most part I just suffer with these attacks but I have been suffering for 5 weeks with a dull ache on my right hand side just below my ribs. when you press that area it feels tender. The pain radiates to my back right down to my right flank. I have heartburn, gas, bloated stomach and cant stop burping. I have a constant full feeling up to my throat. Lost weight as I am not eating well as even water gives me heartburnI,also having an electric shock feeling in my groin on my right hand side, called the doctor and he gave me co-codamol and lactulose as I havent passed stools for five days. The doctor is sending me for an ultrasound, but still awaiting the appointment. Yesterday I ended up in A and E as the pain is now sharp and spikey. Was given full blood,ecg, and examination. Couldn't get an ultrasound as no one was on that department. Told me to go back to gp for referral. On the drs examination he confirmed that I had bilary colic and that gallstones are irritating by gallbladder and advised me to get the gp to refer me to a surgeon to have my gallbladder removed. well tonight I am in excruciating pain even though I have taken pain relief. I think when the doctor was examining me he disturbed the area. Went back to A and E and was told it's not a medical emergency so basically I have to ride this pain out until I see the surgeon. I cant just live on painkillers.
