I had unprotected sex with someone where I performed oral one day, then a later day performed oral again, as well as had vaginal intercourse. After this second encounter, I had symptoms of herpes genitally, though not orally. Got blood test done and found I have HSV2. I have never had any oral symptoms. Would it be possible that I do have oral HSV2 or is it for sure only genital?
I did the same thing preformed oral but got genital hsp2. I haven't been diagnosed but a doc looked at it and said it was he sent the test in but I never got a call back
Most likely only genitally. Same thing happened to me (had vaginal sex and gave oral), but I only seem to have HSV-2 genitally. Even if we have it orally, it breaks out next to never and rarely ever sheds, so not an issue. But since Type 2 strongly prefers the genitals, I believe we're both just genitally infected.
That's not actually what Aa223 meant, also that's simply not possible! If you gave oral sex only, there's no way you could acquire herpes genitally from that act alone. The fact you never heard back (if quite a while since) suggests you tested negative. Visual diagnoses are prone to mistakes.
I did oral first then we had sexual intercourse, sorry about that it looked and felt like little paper cuts first in one spot then in three
Oh, haha. Your previous reply can be misinterpreted. Gotcha now, lol. You should call back to confirm your results. I'm assuming your doc would have called, if definitely positive, but good to know for certain.
I hope so. Reason being that there's already risk with vaginal or anal intercourse or anything in that area, I don't want there to be risk with me performing oral now too.
If you didn't develop any oral symptoms during your first genital outbreak, I honestly wouldn't worry about it. I'm not!
