Just want to share with anybody out there my story. i developed a small break in my skin, which then developed into an open sore. the sore looked like a canker sore but on my vagina. the white covering the sore eventually went away & it looked like an open ulcer. i was also at first experiencing a yeast infection like discharge, thick and white, which then changed to very very watery. i of course, freaked out & went to the urgent care clinic. the doctor did an exam, told me it didnt appear to be herpes, didnt swab, but did send me for a blood test. the blood test he ordered was the type that looked for HSV DNA. my results came back negative for hsv2 & for everything else as well. but, i knew something was wrong. what i had going on down there was not normal. so i scheduled an apt with my Obgyn, i did not have sores present, but i showed him the pictures i had taken. he said it did appear to be HSV, he did more blood work but this time tested for the IGG antibodies, it had been a month since my outbreak had began. i just got the call this morning that my count for HSV 2 IGG antibodies were high. a confirmed herpes diagnosis. im sharing this, because had i not been proactive and trusted my gut i would have never known unless i had another outbreak. im honestly still in shock, but wanted to share my experience to help anyone in the same situation. please message me if you need someone to talk to or need advice.

Hi, I think I may have it too. Im supposed to get tested today & I have a feeling it’s going to be positive. Over the last week and a half, I had a lot of watery discharge & just 2 days ago noticed a single open cut near my vagina. I don’t have any other symptoms.. it only started bleeding when I waxed over it. Do you think mine looks like yours??
your sore doesnt seem to look like mine, is that the opening you are referring to?
