so the doctor told a friend of mine that herpes test is not accurate because its just telling you that you been expose to the virus but don’t actually have the virus. because your body is looking for antibodies not the actual herpes virus it self and if you did have herpes you will always have symptoms specially genital herpes if you are prone to bacterial infection. but i’m confused because why does most doctor have that mindset that hsv is not as what people make it seems and that you just been expose don’t actually have the virus. and its like the herpes virus is not even found in blood its find in the spinal or something like that. but i just want to shed some light to those who never had symptoms but tested postive . so many doctors told me that test is not accurate.
so what is the point of the blood work and so how are we supposed to get medication if we aren’t having regular symptoms and we know that we have been exposed. herpes is stupid.
I think they’re saying regardless of what your blood test says, you need to display symptoms of the virus ‘in action’ for it to be conclusive. Herpes is very tricky. I remember when I went for my blood test, my doctor was confused as to why I wanted it done even though I was not displaying any symptoms. That’s why it is so easily spread, because people just don’t know they’ve got it.
