i know what the scar tissue is but the question is can the doctor spot the scar tissue which is inside anus and on the sides with a gloved hand , how does the scar tissue feel to touch ? after healing of fissure can the scar tissue cause pain ? my scar tissue is somewhat hard to touch and is located in 11 o clock and 3 o clock ,what r ur experiences with scar tissue ,i mean can we tell the doc bout it if he hadn’t been able to find it ,i am goin through various tests ( ctt , defecography, bet, manometry) ,nd just wondering whether they have not been able to find the real cause i.e. scar tissue
the problem with scar tissue is that it doesn’t stretch, and this can cause pain during a bm, because instead of the area stretching, it will rip.
if the scar tissue is new or even less than 2 years old, i recommend very gentle dilation with bio oil. from personal experience this works very well.
well should i tell doc bout it ? ,coz he didn’t notice it during rectal exam ,maybe he could do something bout it , also can you be more specific with which brand of bio oil worked for u ,and how to use it
i had lots of old scar tissue and it was removed during a fissurectomy. have you ever had a fissurectomy? how long has it been since your fissure is healed?
bio oil is the brand name. apply the oil to a gloved finger and apply it inside, directly on the scar tissue, and gently massage the area. don’t use the oil if you have any open wounds/fissures.
