Confused

So i went to see my doctor after using the eumovate cream for 2 weeks like he suggested, he says he doesnt think my LS is active and thinks its just scarring from what i had when i was younger like what i have on my side it doesnt bother me at all but he says ill be more prone to thrush and if it flares up use a oral treatment some canesten and some eumovate cream and if it doesnt clear up come back and see him. I have seen loads of improvement since i started using the steriod cream but im a bit confused because arent you meant to see you doctor like once every 6 months just to check its progress?

Thanks

Great that you're so much improved! You want to see your gynaelogist at least annually to check for bad cells. You probably go for a pap smear anyway. But knowing my history I think when they take that smear from our cervix they don't even glance at the vulva. Sigh. It just means you have to ask.

"arent you meant to see you doctor like once every 6 months just to check its progress?"  -- That's important, yes. They need to see any changes. For instance, my latest was LS impinging a bit on the opening to my urethra. I didn't see or feel a thing! But now that I know its there, I'm putting medication there every day for 2 weeks as per instructions. After that I'm going with the twice a week schedule as per instructions for everywhere else.

i see my gyny every 6months and he always does a smear test and a thorough examination, when i was first diagnosed i saw him every 3 months until things were under control
