Hi , I recently get tested 2 weeks and couple months ago for herpes 1/2 both came back negative. I am dating a guy who was clean for herpes but never got tested for herpes and I wanted him to to make sure he doesn’t have it. He decide to make an appointment and he has his doctor office which I was the and he told the doc he wanted to be tested for herpes 1/2 and the doctor seem so careless and said there’s no point 80% if the population has herpes 1/2 and if you did what can you do there’s no cure. He doesn’t see the point of him getting tested it wouldn’t make a different and I’m kinda mad becasue this doctor really didn’t want him to get tested and said oh if it makes you feel better we can but I told him yes I want you to get tested to e aware and we could be more procatious with sex but now the doc has connived my boyfriend that there’s no point if he there’s no symptoms , and he’s like babe what is thag going to solve if I do nothing so what does it matter.
So my point is if 80% of the population have herpes 1/2 why not include it in the std panel ? So people can have more safe sex to prevent it from spreading. But it’s just so confusing to me. A lot of people make a lot of big deal about it but den some people don’t even care , this virus is confusing ? But I feel like i want my boyfriend to get tested for the both of us to make sure. But he said he will if that will make me happy but guys I pray he doesnt.
It’s very frustrating how most drs treat herpes. I didn’t even know that herpes wasn’t included in an std panel until after I contracted it! I was furious when I found out they don’t test for it unless u have symptoms. Iv even heard drs tell people that you DONT have to disclose that u have it if ur not having symptoms. Wtf?! That’s y so many people contact it! I know most people say herpes is just a skin condition, & for the most part they are right! It’s spread by skin to skin contact ONLY, it’s not in your blood or secretions or anything like that. But still, given the choice, I’m sure 100% of us who have it would have chosen not to have it! Tell he dr he wants to be tested so u can be as safe as possible, he can’t refuse to test him and if he does see a new dr!!
Omg that’s horrible how you have contracted it after the fact that you find out it wasn’t included , I am sorry to hear that! I hope all is well but that’ is not right I feel like a lot of doctors aren’t educated about the herpes as much and jst don’t care for it but wow you should be aware what you are caring your body that’s what I told my boyfriend because the doctor convinced him not too and he goes babe half the world has it and if the doctor saying it and not making a big den it doesn’t matter but I told him but babe wouldn’t you want to know what’s going on in your body what type of viruses you carrying if you carrying any , that’s how it spread becasue people now a days just don’t care. They would know it and still sleep with you because doctor are making them know it’s not s big of deal and it’s just a skin condition but nobody wants to have herpes. I got tested in February my first time eve getting tested for std,s and thank God I found out around that time that herpes wasn’t included and told them to include it even my doctor didn’t want to she goes if you don’t have symtoms den no point but I begged her to so she did and both 1/2 cr back negative but I would’ve thought I would have herpes 1 from all the guys I kissed and had sexual relations w/ since I was out the age of 10 but nope didn’t have that. But everything came back negative except for chlamydia and yeast and a bv but I got checked 2 weeks ago by my obgyn for both 1/2 and she was more understanding and even tho she also doesn’t include herpes in her std panel she added on and both came back again negative for 1/2 . I feel like it’s just like so many people have it and don’t even know . The doctor say if they have it den what is there to do if the person has no symptoms there’s no medication to give him and it’s low risk of contracting and if they do have it and they know they don’t think that would change there sex life but I shocked to find out herpes isn’t included and so many people don’t mnoe this and walking with it and sleeping with people and that’s how it keeps spreading but my boyfriend will be getting tested atleast if he does we could have pro cautious sex because I wiukd never leave him over it. But it’s starting to make me think of some many people have it who really cares about herpes and why do some people make a big deal specially younger generation even tho they could have it and not even know it themselves . This infection shouldn’t be as big as it is if doctor themselves aren’t even making it a big deal but I do think it should be included so people can do what’s going on with they body and me aware. W lot of people are no educated in sex talk specially now a days.
He should get tested for you. Most men don’t have symptoms and have no clue that they have it. But you will have the symptoms and it sucks!! Really bad! If he does, then he can take medication to prevent passing it on to you. That doctor seems to be crazy lol.
Yeah he didn’t have no care in the world and looked at us like we was crazy for getting him tested for it and I haven’t had any symptoms but yes he is getting tested,
