**Hi everyone. Got an issue that’s driving me mad.. Got this constant bad taste in my mouth, not mettalic I would say butter plus my tongue burns a bit.. It changes in intensity through the day, sometimes it’s worst and sometimes it’s better but it’s always there.. I don’t have any teeth infection ( had a root canal a few weeks back) and al my X rays show that everything is fine related with my teeth.. If someone has any idea of what it might be please let me know, I’m going tottaly mad with it..
Have you taken the antibiotics after the root canal??? The use of antibiotics leave this type of taste after weeks of taking them.
Burning Mouth Syndrome is exactly what you are describing. There is “The new burning mouth syndrome” support group on Facebook, along with 2 other similar groups. I’ve read there that dental work often triggers it, or possibly the anesthesia for the dental work. Good luck!
