Constant/daily dizziness?

Anyone else have daily dizziness? Like the kind that never goes away? I mean, some days are better than others but it's still always there. I always feel "off" and "unwell".

I was dx w Menieres in June this year after 11 years of idiopathic vertigo. However, I've never had the dizziness like this. That constant feeling of being "off". Which would probably explain why after 11 years my ears finally show there's something wrong.

But am I alone out there? And sorry if I've already asked this, I can't remember because of brain fog.

Thanks.

I am right there with you. I was prescribed an antidepressant and i have to say it has helped a little. I still feel dizzy and even faint at times but this has helped me quite a bit. I have been dealing with it for 10 years so i know how debilitating it can be but you are not alone.

Yes i have it daily,,for nearly 7 years now. Also,on anti d's that help a little, constantly 'off' feelng, compensatepin g for it all day,,and knackered by end of day, especially after chores or going into, town for shopping etc. Dont go,out in evening at all now. Stress doesnt help either!

Thank you! Yes it is. Was anxiety your diagnosis?

Daily dizzy since 30 years. Sensory distortion. Hearing loss. Dx left peripheral vestibulopathy. To say its a nightmare would be an understatement.

I can't ever get past the initial sides effects they always make my dizzy worse. I think my anxiety plays a large role as well.

Awe I'm so sorry. I know it's hard. I hate living this way.

The trouble,is drs use anxiety as a 'cause' of dizziness and i am very quick to,point out i was not anxious before i was dizzy, only after!! Anxiety cannot be a diagnosis,,it,is an effect having to,deal, with the physical, side of the illness!!

Yes! That's what I had to tell doctors for years and they never believed me! It made me so angry. I never had anxiety or panic disorder until my dizziness  came along.

No they just dx me with subjective vertigo. My pcp was the one who dx me with dep/anx. So i started antidepressants. The first 2 weeks sucked. I was so sick to my stomach i almost stopped but now it is better. Still have dizziness and lightheadness and feel sick but this has helped.

Same here. Been years since I have been dizzy free. Had a episode of vertigo weeks ago. Since then been real dizzy. Small bouts of vertigo since as well. Been to docs. Did 2 rounds of steroids. Did nothing. Went to ENT he sent me for VNG testing. Waiting on results. Been dealing with this for about 10 years. This time it's decided to stick around. Dizzy 24/7. Can't work. Stumble around the house.

Ridiculous is nt it! They are meant to be drs!! I dont bother with them any more. You should all read 'The Brain that Changes Itself', all about plasticity of the brain. PM me if you want author and details

That's why they call it practicing medicine. Lol. They don't actually know much less it's simple. If your leg is broke you know it. Don't need 8 years of school to tell you that.

Ha ha,,so true, th need more practice that's for sure!!  If they dont do it in med school,,it,doesnt exist!!

Why most of the best primary health providers are just nurses. They have more first hand contact. More experience. Doc spends 5 minutes with you and then goes to his book knowledge to treat. Nurses treat people everyday, all day.

If I could stick it out I think it would help me too. I just feel bad already and then taking it makes me feel worse so it's like ugh what's considered bad for a normal person is worse for us

No your not alone. I am off balance everyday since June. The dizziness is everyday as well but most days I function well inspite I want to cry. Still tring to understand what happened. MRI normal. ENT eval next. PCP says could have been a virus or coming off medications I was on for years however, that should have gone away by now.

Very weird. Crazy in fact!

Has anybody loked into vestibular migraines? There are some good groups onFacebook. Also look into SCM muslce issues, just type it into google

I was told was bppv years ago. But symptoms don't seem to fit anymore. Went to new doc and got some different tests done. Waiting on results.

I specifically asked my neurotologist if he thought it could be and he said no. I was thinking it might be tho.
