Hi everyone. I'm a 38 year old male and suffer from gad and panic disorder. I've been on 100 mg of sertraline for the last 2 years and it's been good. The last month my anxiety has spiked again and for the last 2 weeks have been experiencing a constant dull headache and almost like a heavy pressure in my head. Sometimes it feels like it's on the back of my head and my scalp is almost sensitive to the touch. I have tried Xanax to relieve it, panadol and codine but nothing seems to work. Does anyone else experience this sort of thing, with or without anxiety cheers
I written a similar post the other day about this I get this all the time it's called tension headaches I get this I get it all in my back and head I get different head aches I can get them where it's like pressure or I can get them like it feels someone is squeezing my head together there awful it's all down to anxiety,,,,But forget your not alone most of the people on here go through this and they can be a great help x
Yes it's horrible I get it for weeks at a time horrible pressure it usually just sits on the top of my head the only thing that takes it away is sometime rlaxing in the shower with the hot water running on my head lol I will have it for like 2 weeks and it may go away for a day or two and then it comes right back
Good morning , calab , trust me you are not alone.this is all.i deal with daily just like Emily said it may go away for a day or two then its back again ..., let me give you a side of relief , first thing is that all those sensations and symptoms you are having , currently have myself and have been having them.for months now ,
Pulsating throbbing pain at the top of my head
Feels like someone is squeezing my head
burning tingling pain in scalp
sore scalp almost like tender
Tension headaches
Sharp shooting pains near temples (either side)
Neck pain and stiffness
Ears popping
And the lost goes on and on , there are over 100 plus anxiety sensations and symptoms and I've probably had then all just about , those I listed are just SOME of my most recent . you are not alone I've had MRIs of my neck, brain , and head Dr said I'm fine , that was months ago and I'm still struggling .
