Hi ive been diagnosed with ibs ,gallstones ,hiatus hernia ,acid reflux ,hypertension ,anxiety ,and a prolapse and iiam coming to the end of my tether with all the pain iiam in ,i recently found out i also had cysts on my ovaries and kidneys which need investigation because they have been bleeding,iitake omeprazole ,colofac and bisoprolol for the anxiety and hypertension which did work fine up until recently .anybody going through similar who has any tips for the backpain and anything else really please get in touch .
Sorry to hear you are so poorly with it all. I have had my gall bladder removed and still had the back/side pain. IBS was also diagnosed and I recently heard about hepatic flexure syndrome. I found by being quite strict with my diet and avoiding 'high FODMAP ' foods, it has really helped.I was taking Lanzoprazole and 8 Buscopan a day and now I only take them on the odd occasion. It may be worth a try just to help relieve your pain. I have just started noticing the difference after 3 weeks so patience is needed but worth it!
Hi it will take time and you have to take it slow,you only have one body which has to last you a life time. I have IBS and i had bowel cancer and had part of my large intestine removed and also had my gallbladder removed, im doing much better now. I also have a hiatus hernia and anxiety disorder, i take xanax for that, and nexium for my reflux. Painkillers that helped me was endone. Things will get better but you have to give it time...
Thankyou for replies ,sorry to hear you both have been so unwell ,makes me sound so weak compared to your fights but in my entire 46 years i dont ever remember feeling not just poorly but so down as well ,i have had anxiety for the last 8 years which has been hard enough but these last few months have been unbearable because of all my health issues,i only found out this feb exactly what conditions i have ,before that i was treated for gallstones until the hospital confirmed the ibs,gastritis,hernia,reflux,and cysts on ovaries and kidneys,im more worried because each day it seems to be stripping me even more of my energy and im not half the person i was anymore,each day is spent with at least a third of it feeling so poorly and sleep is a luxury now since the pains really bad at night.

Hi dillyt1, i fully understand how you feel, i see it everyday with my son he has been ill chronically since the age of 14 he is now 36, he has no life and most of the time he sleeps through his days because of the pain and painkillers help make him sleep.But he still has HOPE.
Low in energy with him is that he needs a Vitamin B injection every 3 months and that really helps......check with your doctor. I have found over the years with my son that YOU have to tell the doctors what you want and CHECK everything that they do, if the give you pills check on google what the side effects are just incase it can effect you. Thankyou trudie ,once again i find myself with not much sleep behind me ,i feel really fed up now ,getting a docs appointment is a joke around here.a few weeks ago i ended up in hospital and the docs increased my medication there ,i was told to tell my gp next day but i could not get through on the telephone ,a week after they were increased i was taken ill with them and actually had to speak to a pharmacist about decreasing them again rather than a gp ,she also told me to have a meds review with gp but alas no luck getting through all last week.i am living off medication at the moment ,waiting for hospital appointments to come through ,the only good thing is i have had the go ahead from my heart specialist to have any surgery needed after wearing the heart and blood monitors for a week ,so hopefully not too long now.
Yesterday was awful when my backache went my stomachache took over ,i took the limit to every tablet i have been prescribed and was still in agony come bedtime,i stayed on the couch hoping for ten mins respite but never came ,im waiting to try phone surgery again but i know from experience i will probably get through around ten oclock and all appointments have gone for today and i will get told to try at 8 tomorrow ,same scenario tomorrow as well.

Hi managed to get an appointment today,the doctor is chasing up my hospital appointment for another ultrasound ,not sure why when i had one a month ago that showed them what they need to know,but i suppose its another step in the right direction.until then i suppose i just plod on .
