Has anyone had a sore eye that comes on after shingles that involved the eye? It was 11 weeks ago that I was diagnosed and I am now having trouble with a very sore pink eye. I have drops but after 2 weeks my eye has not improved at all!! Does this go on forever after the dreaded shingles?!!
Your shingles were around your eye? I have no experiance with that,but I do have eye problems. So sorry you are going through this. Xx
I would suggest seeing a specialist in eye conditions to eclude shingles in your eye or any auto immune disease of the eye. It is no use trying to guess. AN examination is needed. It could be something very simple but your eyes are precious and need an examination. Is there an eye hospital nearby?
What kind fof eye problems if you don't mind my asking?

I saw the eye dr 2 weeks ago and he said it was dry eye and gave me drops, but they have done nothing and if anything my eye feels more sore, I had seen my own Dr before that appointment as I was worried that the shingles was coming back but he said it wasn't. I'm feeling rather desperate now as i feel that nobody seems to care. I intend to get an appointment at the eye clinic this week as an emergency, as i have been worried about my vision , which has been ok thank goodness, but if this sore eye goes on much longer I don't know if it will affect my vision. it's all been 11 weeks of hell!
Mgd is one,its the main caus of dry eye and affects the glands that line your eye lids. Unless a doctor specifically looks at those glands which caus symptoms of dry eye they wont ever find it. Mine didnt,another doc found it. It also is the main caus of dry eye and is sometimes accompanied by blepharitis . Often needs more then drops to treat. Actually this post was for Jane.
