Hi There my name is Ivan I'm 25 years old and I've been currently experiencing shortness of breath along with heavy breathing. Constantly taking deep breaths and yawning feeling like I'm always hunger for air, I don't smoke neither. So far I've been diagnosed with General Anxiety Disorder and I've had numerous Test which are EKG Xray blood tests , Echocardiogram of the heart , stress test & the results were all normal. My last test was a pulmonary function test some numbers about 3 of them were a bit below average and pulmonologist assistant thinks that may be involved with the shortness of breath. I still have an upcoming appointment with my doctor for the full results.
I don't have depression just anxiety which makes it worse when I have these shortness of breath symptoms. Any advice or suggestions is GREATLY APPRECIATED
My meds are
Propranolol 20mg ( been on them for 6 months)
Albuterol inhaler (2 weeks)
Montalukast 10mg (2 weeks)
Citalopram 40mg (7 weeks on them)
I didn't think I had GAD either but they told me it could come out of nowhere. I just started celexa 3 days ago and feeling very anxious today.
Celexa works with depression and anxiety but it took me about 6 weeks to get better from those symptoms , still have some anxiety sometimes but not as bad. Unfortunately I still feel shortness of breath its getting very annoying.
Welcome to the world of anxiety, i have experiencing the exact same symptoms accompanied with what i can only explain as not feeling my breath when i breath. It has spread to me not feeling my urine when i pee and not feeling muscles in my neck when i stretch. I am not taking any meds. I like you have taken the exact same test and im all clear. My dr says its anxiety. Im coping with it by practicing yoga, meditation, therapist and accupuncture!
Do you ever feel like warm sensation down you neck and upper part of your body
Hi Luis thank you for the reply it sucks going through this issue I can't even feel like myself around public always having the urge to take deep breaths have you also had a pulmonary function test if so how did it go?
To be honest yes it feels warm constantly and I'm always constantly trying to take the breathing this is all new to me I've been having this problem for 2 months now I have never had asthma problems or any lung problems I don't know how this problem even started
No, drs took xrays and co2 test said there was nothing wrong with my lungs or oxygen intake!
Oh wow. Well I hope we both get better. I try using my inhaler and it does seem to work quite a bit but not alot. Breathing exercises work temporarily too.
But I'm still seeking a solution ..
