constantly worried but doc says im ok?

so ive been going on and off to the doctors and ER for chest pain, shortness of breath, blue finger nails, pain in left arm, headaches, feeling weak, and sometimes almost all the serious symptoms of a heart attack and i constantly think im gonna die, even though im always told that im okay after visiting the ER countless times in the past few months. could i just be worried too much about this or is there really something wrong with me?

if you’ve been told many times by the doctors that you are OK then you have to believe it. What you are doing is getting yourself caught in a circle of anxiety, fear, negative thoughts and panic. You have to break the cycle otherwise you will be miserable in your life.
It sounds like what you are experiencing is unmanaged health anxiety and fear. remember that our thoughts during anxiety are not based on fact or logic or reality. They are only based on fear which is not based on fact. Anybody can think anything but that doesn’t make it true. fear stands for false evidence appearing real.
. You need to look at the facts. And the fact is that you have been checked out numerous times and all your tests are normal.
when you overthink all of this, you can actually make your symptoms worse and continue.
I’ll advise you getting some support for this because it’s difficult to do on your own. Talk to a counselor who can help you manage this. be careful what you think. Mental attitude is everything when it comes to managing this. There are some great talks on YouTube for anxiety, overthinking, panic etc. I hope you’re able to get some support for this. You are OK!

Hi mate, ive had chest pain since i was about 14yr old. Had every test done over the years and im 35 now and still here lol. I now get pain in both arms, chest pain & tightness, dizzy spells, nausea, breathing, you name it. I have had at least 20-30 trips to hospital, including one by ambulance and about the same amount of GP appointments. Blood tests, ECG’s, ultrasound, xrays over the years. Then because the arm pain got worse MRI scans, physio exams and then through pretty much every other department to rule them out. So here we are 20 years down the line and still no nearer to a remedy. However, in all those hundreds of tests, examinations and scan’s no physical symptom was ever picked up be it by doctor or machine. I have been forced to conclude that the doctors are right and that it is all caused by anxiety. Once you can except that you are not in any mortal danger the attacks do get much easier to cope with, though no less pleasant im afraid to say. As i have heard ppl say many times on here ‘trust the tests’ and they are right. Hope things get better soon for you.
