Hello, I am 16 yo female.
I have always been especially prone to getting constipation since childhood but, it has never been this bad. I am a hypochondriac and also have severe anxiety, bad to the point that I can’t sleep for days on no end if I ever do have an anxiety attack. I am worried that it could be some kind of cancer…
But it could also be ibs, maybe gluten sensitivity… I don’t know…
These are current symptoms that I have been experiencing.
- feels like there’s something at the entrance and it’s blocking poop from coming, therefore making it come out much smaller (this one I am the most worried about, it sounds like…cancer to me)
- get no urge to poop anymore.
- fiber doesn’t seem to be working as much
- recent change in bowel movements, got worse since november- december, I think. Till now. 2020, march…
- sometimes get mucus in stool, not very often…
Please reply soon… I am at a healthy weight, I don’t do anything bad, smoke or drink, I eat lots of fiber, and drink lots of water.
hi hana, i too suffer like you do. i have terrible dry eyes too, joint pain, tmj, constantly hungry, constantly tired, so bloated i cant get a breath and constipation and insomnia that lasts weeks.. i wondered if you suffered with any of thsi too xx much love
Hi, you are pretty young to be having these issues, but it doesn’t mean they are not there, not sure why you say you are a hypochondriac, if you are having symptoms then you are having them. Are your docs listening to you, are they brushing you off and telling you nothing is wrong without doing further testing. If they are, then I would insist on further testing and if this doc wont take you seriously then find a new doc. Are your parents involved and helping you at all?..Are you taking birth control pills, as they can have some effects on our body as well, do you take any other kind of medication, over the counter, prescription or recreational? If you are unable to eat, you need to find out why, have you ever had an eating disorder?..If you cant get into see a doc soon, try drinking Max Protein Ensure to make sure you get all the nutrients you need. It is low in sugar and good in what your body needs. Stay hydrated, this is very important and can also cause yawning. When you do eat, eat fruits and veggies. No junk. Have you tried a laxative, have you had a OB/GYN exam to make sure nothing is wrong with your pelvis and rectum. area. If your uterus is prolapsed it can tilt to an angle that makes pooping more difficult but usually effects older women more, women who have had children. Overall seeing a good gastro and OB/GYN should be your first moves, they can determine if what tests are needed, scans etc. Good luck and dont be embarrassed by all of this, that is why there are gastro’s and OB/GYN’s and other specialist, to them this is a daily subject, no biggy.
When you say you have a lot of fibre, what type of fibre are you referring to? Do you have plenty of fruit and veg? I find things like avacado and olives really help with constipation. A cup of green tea in the morning also helps move things along. Aloe vera juice has amazing health benefits as well as helping with constipation. You could also try kefir yoghurt drink once a day, it helps your gut bacteria.
Anxiety can definitely affect your bowels so you should try something like yoga and meditation to relax. Sleep is so important for your health, you really need to find some relaxation techniques, look them up on google. When you learn to relax and sleep better, everything is much easier.
