I had my first panic attack at around age 32. I'm 36 now. It started when the house next to me was flipped by a greedy flipper and rented out to drug dealers who never slept. All the stress of not sleeping and worrying caused me to have visible twitching on my arms. I then had a chicken sandwich that day and got constipated for the first time in my life. The constipation didn't go away. A few months later I was diagnosed with gallbladder polyps after a gallbladder attack. A few months later I was allergic and couldn't stop sneezing and I felt a flapping in my ears whenever I sneezed. The ENT said it was irreversible and a result of aggravated nerve in the ear. However, I don't experience it anymore so that went away but that was the first time I ever had that problem. I then got a new job which caused a lot of stress because the new boss would talk about the cold sores she'd get all the time and I felt like she'd get too close to me when she talked about it. That and the aggravation and stress of the job got to me and I developed twitching from head to toe. I was convinced I had something but the results were negative. The following year I had weird 3 day periods and missed a period. I also got a mallet finger around this time which docs didn't even know what was until I went to a orthopedic surgeon. I never had a mallet finger before. I started to gain weight and felt like I had fat in places like my neck I never had before. I went up 10 pounds despite eating the same etc. The endo I went said I had no symptoms of cushings or thyroid disease. Around this time I had another panic attack at the doctors and my blood pressure spiked, my breathing became very shallow as if I had to take 2 deep breaths and I had a tightening in my chest. I couldn't even button my jacket. The blood pressure and breathing stayed elevated for a year with docs contributing it to asthma and giving me an inhaler. I even went to a pulmonologist and tests came back normal. My bp stabilized and my breathing suddenly came back to normal when I went back to the hospital and felt more relaxed but this was after a year of coughing up phlegm and not being able to breath normal. The 10lbs stayed. I don't know what to do at this point. I am constipated and worried about my anxiety. I feel like all the symptoms I have could even be something related to my brain or nerves. I am most worried about the constipation, the weight gain, and my bp. Has this happened to anyone else? Not sure what kind of specialist or doc to see now.
To add, I never had health problems such as these before for 32 years. My bp was always normal, I didn't gain weight without there being a cause, and I never had continuous anxiety.
