appointment today with above mentioned con, gastro after 3 months typical silent reflux symptoms, all classic symptoms...doc was totally dismissive, after I said no heartburn that the problems were from throat upwards...........he does,nt think LPR exists he said, so seeing my own GP in a few weeks maybe try and see an ENT consultant who hopefully will believes LPR exists...........many NHS related websites with loads of info on silent reflux LPR ...it seems 3 -6 months double dose PPI is the way to go here,s hoping. any info would be great. Yes, that is what Dr Koufas recommends- Double dose PPI's for a few months. GI's know nothing about silent reflux, and even some ENT as well. So make sure when you get one they know about it and they have all the equipment needed for this. Sure, the best way to deal with this is diet if not you will be stock with PPI's the rest of you life which will create numerous extra conditions and not really take care of the problem but just the symptoms.
