Consultant

Best wishes....let us all know how you get on.

Thank you x

Thank you, and I will x

Good Luck,

I have had three surgeries in the last five years. The first time was fine and my choice, but broke the femur during the last week of recovery. The second implant lasted less than five years and required a revision surgery because the hardware broke while walking. I was proper p*ssed off this third time, but second week post op am feeling more confident and able. I think it has a lot to do with being in control of our body and the perception of our abilities based on past experience. I'm retired navy and still in healthy shape and have some problems grasping with these changes. As time goes by I don't let it shape me and recognise that it's a determinate factor of my physiology and types of hardware that are manufactured. My last implant was installed by someone with an outstanding record, so planning for the best.

Hope you get on okay and the waiting list is fairly short.

Thank you x

Thank you x

Wish you the best of luck.

Thanks x

Gosh you have certainly been through it! Best wishes x

Greetings from USA NJ!!!  When are you getting it done? Which approach are you getting?  Don't forget to go to the class if they offer one.   Ginnywink

Hi ginny!

Not had date yet, I believe it's the posterior approach which is going to go through my tattoo! Yeah I'm booked into a class too x

Linzh,

Great.  Important to go to that.  Also, be sure to do all the exercises prior to surgery to help your muscles become strong!!!
