HI Everyone,I have all the symptoms of Sjogrens but blood test negative. I am on restasis and being reviewed after four months soon. i also use the supplement Hydro eyes from the USA which contains omega threes.I lubricate my eyes frequently with hylo forte eyedrops. i also take cod liver oil and flaxseed oil. MY eyes seem less dry but wont know until after my next visit to the Opthamologist.
My problem is that my eyes still feel irritated and continuously red! Does anyone have any suggestions to help me calm these eyes down and get rid of the redness. ?
Maybe castor oil drops? OR Manuka eye drops? I am just beside myself.

Don’t try anything else, give your current regimen time to work.
What has your Ophthalmologist said to you, did he give you a diagnosis?
One can have dry eye without SS. You can also have SS and have a negative blood test. I had a negative blood test and a lip biopsy came back inclusive. But I don’t care if I have SS, I have dry eyes, dry mouth, my ears don’t make wax, my nose is dry and my skin is dry. There is no cure for SS, only meds to treat the symptoms. Keep up with the meds until you see your eye doctor.

.I am following your advice and trying to just follow my current regimen until i see Dr.Mc.lusky in about three weeks,in SYDNEY?
MY Opthamologist has me on RESTASSIS. HE did a SCHIRMERS test and my eyes are chronically dry and still red.
i just have to exercise patience.
thanks for your advice, yes its early days yet. i have all your symptoms and now joint pain! Im seeing my Rheumatologist this month. it may not be SS BUT everything seems to point that way.
