I had symptoms of a UTI 2 weeks ago , no UTI was found. I was given antibiotics and it went. Today I woke up and I had a red lump on my thigh ( lower thigh ) picture :
Normally, you would have experienced an outbreak within a week or two of infection, usually with symptoms on your penis, plus UTIs that respond to antibiotics (assuming yours did) are not related to genital herpes, which is viral. Could easily be a pimple. Since it was 4 months ago, you can do the HSV-1/2 IgG antibody test to be absolutely certain. Did your ex definitely have HSV-2, not HSV-1?
You can get either type genitally (the number identifies the virus type, not the location of infection), and while they look and behave the same way during an outbreak, they have different implications, so always good to know which type you are dealing with or have. Genital HSV-2 is more infectious than genital HSV-1, for example.
But say I was infected with HSV2 for example I had a breakout on my own genitals , if I was to perform oral sex on someone , it cannot transmit? Or am I totally wrong :O ?
Lol, herpes is a funny one that causes a lot of confusion, so you're not alone to wonder or mix up such things!
If you have genital herpes, whether Type 1 or Type 2, it is only in your genital area. If you give oral sex, you cannot pass it, unless you also have oral herpes, which would be considered a separate infection.
Herpes does not reside in the blood, but in the nerves and on the skin of the infected region (so, usually genital or oral). It does not travel through your body, so a genital infection cannot exit your mouth.
