Went to doc last week and was diagnosed with strep throat, was given amoxicillan, developed a cough now and I spit up thick, yellow mucus/phlegm, I also feel light headed and like I am going to faint
You may have a chest infection, but its unlikely, It would be,a good idea to see your Dr, its something simple so don't worry. X
I remember having strep throat, and I woke up freezing. Every time I would get up to pile on more blankets, I had to get up every few minutes to pile on more and more until I started running out of blankets. I then had to get up every few minutes to start putting on extra layers of clothing until I couldn't move or get any more layers on. I was still freezing. I knew right then that I had strep throat and I needed help. At the hospital my temperature was so high I needed a life-saving shot which broke my fever.

O'h good - seems like the antibiotics are working. 'Go with the flow' and it will clear and you will be as good as new.
