I posted many months ago that I had this chronic cough it's been since Feb 2015.
I got a real bad flu Dec 2014 after being sick with nausea and lightheadedness 3 months before. I was told that I had Hpylori but that wasn't the cause of my illness.
I was so sick with with the flu with high fever , chills still nauseous and a real bad cough!
After my flu went in Jan 2015 my cough went but came back late Feb just cough no other symptoms as far as flu.
Since then I coughed for the whole year and to present time.
I don't have nausea or lightheadedness any more.
I have seen every specialist regarding my cough had chest X-ray last May and another this May all clear. Had scans , spirometry , pulmonary function test , allergy, echocardiogram saw nuerologist you name it.
Even had a scope by ENT and GI all good inside a little reflux but GI said nothing that would cause cough. And a very slight mild gastritis again not causing cough. I was on PPI's but they didn't make a difference on or off.
If anyone has went through this or still going through it let me know?
I was told by my GP no lung cancer I also never smoked .
The cough can also be a allergic type. I have had a slight cough that comes and goes for months. It doesn't get worse it just stays the same for a few months. At first i thought it was from the weed I used to smoke but I have been sober for a good while and the cough came in out of nowhere. Usually my cough comes around the spring and part of summer. By fall it goes away. If your cough isn't becoming worse where you can't breathe, blood coming out or becomes longer and louder I wouldn't worry about it.
I had a bad cough in December 2015 which lasted 2.5 months. I had a chest x-ray and blood tests but all came out clear. Cough went eventually but somebody at work came in with a bad cold and cough has come back again but no other symptoms. I also had chills and high temperature. The cough is not too bad but would like to stop and I am not looking forward to winter as I was very ill and the coughing caused me to get a bad back. So any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated
