Could all my problems me HSV related??!

About 13 months ago while returning from a camping trip I started to feel unwell - over a few days I became very dizzy, photosensitive with flu like symspoms and what felt like ear pressure (or more closely the sensation you get on a plane in flight)

i was diagnosed with labyrinthitus - just to cut a long story short over time I improved (I had 7 months off work!) I saw an ENT specialist who as sceptical of the labyrijthitus diagnosis and found nothing wrong with my ears after tests. I've had upteen bloods tests and all come back fine.

the whole time I have been able to feel a 'lump' in the back of neck just below the hairline just right of my spine - this has been investigated via an MRI and ultrasound which to my amazement both come back 'normal' I have now been told this lump is muscular - funny how I never had it before I became ill!

There's a few other things - I also have a faint red ring on my left cheek which also seemed to appear at the same time. The week before I became poorly I was having quite a bad HSV outbreak down below and the back of my thighs were burning like mad! I have mentioned this to the doctor who pretty much dismissed it as not relevant.

over the last 12 months I have had several nasty sores appear in various places - four on left arm - one on thigh - two chest - two neck and one back of neck - these are like blisters about the size of a 20p coin which take weeks and weeks to heal - recently I had one on my neck and one night I thought I'd try some zorivrax on it - it about 24 hours it had almost healed which got me thinking!

i also have quite a nasty rash on my upper thighs which I have tried tons of different creams for and the latest one was they gave me anto fungal tablets as they thought it could be ringworm.

in the last few weeks I've had a bit of a step back and have felt fatigued this seemed to coincide with the appearance of some small spots at the top of my thighs as if I'm having a slight recurring. I can also remember last year when I first became ill my hands were covered in little white tiny blisters that popped and crusted over in about 24hours.

is it possible all this is HSV related ? Could I have infected other areas of my body? Could I even have had ensephilitus last year and that was what was wrong with me.

By by the way I'm NOT one bit stressed or depressed!

Unlikely. Any lesions that start to heal in 24 hours are too quick to be herpes, and those that take weeks and weeks to change/heal are too slow. Also, once you have herpes for a few months, you should be immune from getting it elsewhere. As for herpetic encephalitis, that is a medical emergency; you'd probably be in hospital in critical condition if that's what you had. Seems to me you are trying to link everything to herpes when it's likely one or more other things going on. If you still suspect herpes, it's easy. Next time you get a rash, go get it swabbed for herpes asap.

What about MRSA?
