I took one dose of 25mg Zoloft 3 days ago and since then I’ve been not feeling good. Every time I eat or even if I don’t eat I get this feeling in my throat like my glands that hurt when you throw up are swollen. It’s like right when I take a bite of food that it happened today. I tried to let myself throw up last night but it just make me have a coughing fit and inflame my throat for awhile. I don’t know how to make it stop or if it’s from the medicine. It feels like a tight hand around my throat, and like I’m going to throw up but I’m not nauseous at all. Any advice or similar occurrences would be helpful, I just feel like I’m crazy.

I had similar feeling to you, My throat felt tight and felt like I had a huge lump in there. Like I needed to throw it up. With mine I did also feel a little sick. This side effect has gone away for me and now i just feel sleepy when I take it.
Talk to your Dr about this. My Dr and I spoke about my side effects and how it was impacting me. We decided for me to try taking it right before i go to sleep, see how that goes for a week and if no improvement then we will try another medication.
