I think i have fibromyalgia but the doctors think i don't.
I have many tender points all over my body (top of my arms, neck, shoulders, back, legs etc
the tender points hurts when i press then and when i dont, esp my left arm, it constantly aches and has point.
Im constantly tired, have headached, palpitation, flutters in chest, ectopic beats, feel dizzy/lightheaded, painall over my body (but some days im fine)
the last few days ive been having waves of dizzyness/lightheadedness.
And i have a terrible heachache and paind everywhere today
Can you get a second opinion? I would certainly look into it. I were diagnosed 4 years ago now, and had to see two different dr's for them to believe me and get me refered to see the Rheumatologist.
im going to see if they will refere me, but the last time i got reffered to see a rhumaatologist for my tiezies syndrome it took 3 months to get an appointment
Hiljenk it tokk me 10 years to get diagnosed, and that was after many many tests. my gp finally refered me to see a rheumatologist who diagnoses fibro. drs normally like to rule out other conditions before sending you to see a rheumatologist. I would see if you can see another gp. I had to wait at least 3 months before I was seen by a rhematologist. then I had to wait a further 2 months for the result? everything to do with fibro is tests and a waiting game. Be persistant and dont give in. take care
I was told when I went for a disability assessment that some drs still don't believe fibro exists. My old Dr was a nightmare, a locum finally refferred me to rhumo as she refused. I changed drs after tht, if they won't refer u change drs as it may be he/she is in the 'wee are all loonies and our illness doesn't exist' camp lol.
Hi Meljenk You need to see your gp,or speak to them over the phone and tell them the tablets arnt working and see if the will prescribe something else for you. Its trial error in finding the right medication that works for you. I suffer with very high blood pressure I dont think your reading is anything to worry about. but you could mention it to your dr if its worrying you.The dizzyness lightheaded isnt pleasent. My advice and what I do is when Im sat down rise up very slowly off the settee. I tend to reach out on anything I can to help steady my self be it a door or wall etc. I would rest up on the sofa with your son watch tele.keep him occupied with children programmes and childrens dvds if you have any. Any concerns worrys you have just speak to your gp. wheat bags are good ive found for me for putting on acheing arms and legs.take care gentle hugs.
