i had unprotected sex 2/3 weeks ago more or less. after few days i started noticing burning while peeing and alot of itching. I immediately went and get tested. However they only tested me for Chlamydia and Gonorrhea. Gonorrhea negative however I was positive for Chlamydia. I got treated and everything was well. But few days later the pain came back but is not itching and I started noticing a swelling of my labia and a big irritation all over my vagina, mainly in the vaginal opening and perineum alongside redness. I have no idea of what could it be. please help! do you think it could be Herpes? Or maybe just a heavy candida/ BV/vaginitis thrush?
Hi, it’s very possible you developed yeast from your antibiotics. In doubt, get tested but you should start an OTC antifungal treatment as soon as possible.
This seems quite a bad case of candida. If you’re susceptible to yeast, on a longer term, you should look into your diet and reduce sugar. Probiotics for a few months could be a good idea.
