Could it be anxiety ?

for the past year and a half i have been experiencing frequent vomiting and nausea , followed by constant stomach pain , tiredness , lack motivation , no appetite (vomiting has rendered most foods unappealing ) and i continue to lose weight at a somewhat worrying pace . i seen several doctors , one of which accused me of having an eating disorder ( female uni student automatically means eating disorder in their books)which is simply not the case . ive recently been wondering if or anxiety related , yet it seems to occur everytime i have plans made or know there is something i want to avoid doing . however it can also come out of nowhere . i do occasionally smoke weed which i find really helps what would otherwise be a 3-4 day vomiting cycle which would leave me in a lot of physical pain and in need of a few recovery days . im awake weed and anxiety are linked , does anyone else think it could be the anxiety caused by weed or anxiety on its own ? last resort as im still in pain alot of the time

Dear Molly,
Sorry, to hear of your illness. Do try to eliminate any chance of any serious underlying conditions and then get on with having a ‘normal’ life.

I’ve never tried weed but had lots of anxiety! Try a simple ordinary diet , just do your best, chances are you will look back on this time and have a laugh.

Regards, E

I would avoid weed and try a food diary to see if a food is the cause of your symptoms and change your doctor. Anxiety can affect your gut. You may need tests to uncover the cause of the nausea and vomiting.

if you had these symptoms before the weed it sounds like angsiaty i know its hard but try to get intouch whith a counciler sorry for the spelling sounds like you use the weed to eat and feel calm am i right try c.b.t counciling they will give you the tools to help you cope some of the things they say are a little strainge but you take what you whant from it and learn your own way to cope good look luv let me know what happens
