I’ll start at the beginning which was May 27th I had no problems until about 8 pm that evening I had ate (cant remember what I ate it was low carb) and then 30 minutes later I thought I was having a panic attack. we checked my bp which was 174/124 ( have never had bp problems before) I felt like crap for 2 days then on May 29th I went to the Urgent care which sent me to the ER because my blood pressure was up high. I then got sent home on a diaretic until I could see my PCP. He put me on a bp med. 2 days later I came back and kept telling him my gallbladder area hurt real bad ( I didn’t notice until the bp was down to normal) . He tried putting me on a different med and thats when I decided to go to a different doctor. She did blood work, urine test and ultra sound which came back normal. Now l will list my symptoms. I hurt right underneath my sternum,it travels to the right side under my ribs then around to my back. It sometimes radiates around to the left, diarrhea and or a pale looking poo. I have indigestion, burping alot. Ive dropped 11 pounds in 7 days. It has put me in a panic attack a few times because sometimes feels like a heart attack (had a EKG done and my heart is perfect) . I was wondering if anyone else’s bloodpressure went up with gallbladder issues?
Hi,
I had my gallbladder removed 4 months ago having suffered several attacks. I did not take my blood pressure during my attacks not did I go to hospital. What I can tell you is that I did feel my heart racing, broke out into cold sweats, breathless, belching, felt like I was going to pass out and had a very tight gripping pain extending from right abdominal area into my back.
The symptoms you describe, including pale stools, can occur as a result of a gallbladder attack. If you have had an ultrasound and it did not pick up on any gallstones, it could be that you may have issues with how your gallbladder is functioning, in which case a Hida scan can assess this. Keep pushing for a diagnosis. In the meantime I suggest eating a low fat diet, lots of water and consider taking Buscopan which I found helpful when having an attack.
I had surgery 4 months ago, healed well and am thankfully back to living a normal life without my gallbladder.
Best of luck.
