Could this be genital herpes? Or just BV

2 days after having sexual intercourse, I felt very sore then started having burning during urination and nonstop discharge. I do have small sores it looks to be.
I went to the doctor and she said she believes its BV BUT still ran me a test for Herpes. im currently waiting on results which may be back Tuesday/Wednesday. I cant rest easily until I hear results! Help, has anyone dealt with this?

please lemme know what you’re results are my sores are open so I’m sleeping without underwear to keep the area as dry as possible because moisture burns it
